Midlife Mothers: Pause. Reset. Reclaim.

Perimenopause is real. It is not the whole story.

You are not too sensitive.

You are not falling apart.

You are carrying more than anyone has named for you yet.

This video names it.

Inside the video

Why hormones are context, not the whole explanation. They amplify what is already there. They rarely create it from scratch.

The layers no one names: identity shedding, unacknowledged grief, relationship recalibration, and the questions that come with them.

Why your nervous system has been on alert for years, and why that is not a personal failure.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with 20 years of experience supporting people through complex life transitions. My work with emotional reactivity, grief, caregiving, and midlife change is both professional and deeply personal.

As a midlife mother, I’ve lived the collision of roles, most acutely during my father’s illness and death from pancreatic cancer when my nervous system rarely felt at rest.

My approach is steady, compassionate, and practical. This work isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about creating enough safety and steadiness to choose how you show up and to take a first step back toward yourself.

Featured in outlets including Real Simple, Scary Mommy, and Today's Ajenda with Dr. Jen Ashton. Speaker at venues including 92NY and the UBS Women's Wealth and Wellbeing Symposium. New York Times bestselling co-author of Piper Chen Sings. Trained at Columbia University, where I was also on the faculty.
